Job Description

Lianson is seeking experienced and suitably qualified seafarers for immediate and upcoming crew requirements onboard Bulk Carrier vessels operating in Mozambique.

The company is recruiting deck, engine and catering personnel for two deployment phases. Immediate vacancies are available for senior officers in November 2026, followed by additional crew positions scheduled for late November and early December 2026.

Candidates with previous Bulk Carrier experience, strong professional skills and the ability to join at short notice are encouraged to apply.

1. Immediate Requirement – November 2026

• Master / Chief Officer – 1 position
• Chief Engineer – 1 position

Selected senior officers are expected to join around November 2026 and initially represent the company onboard during the vessel takeover.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Ensure safe vessel navigation and efficient voyage operations
• Perform deck, cargo, mooring and watchkeeping duties according to rank
• Operate, inspect and maintain main engines and auxiliary machinery
• Carry out planned maintenance and equipment inspections
• Maintain safe working conditions and operational readiness onboard
• Follow company HSE procedures and international maritime regulations
• Support effective teamwork and coordination among all departments

Requirements

• Previous experience onboard Bulk Carrier vessels is required
• Relevant experience in the applied rank
• Valid STCW certification package appropriate to the position
• Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) for officer and engineer positions
• Valid passport, seaman's book and medical certificate
• Good English communication skills
• Strong professional knowledge, safety awareness and teamwork abilities
• Availability for immediate or upcoming deployment, depending on the vacancy
