Job Description

Wilhelmsen is inviting experienced seafarers to apply for a range of positions across its international fleet. Opportunities are available on various vessel types, including car carriers, gas tankers, LNG tankers, bulk carriers, and oil/chemical tankers.

Candidates must have relevant experience on the same type of vessel as the position applied for. The company is targeting crew deployment in November–December 2026.

Available Positions

1. Car Carrier

Requirement: Previous Car Carrier experience.

• 3rd Officer – 1 vacancy
• Chief Cook – 1 vacancy

2. Gas Tanker – Fully Pressurized

Requirement: Previous Fully Pressurized LPG Tanker experience.

• Ordinary Seaman (OS) – 1 vacancy

3. LNG Tanker

Requirement: Previous LNG Tanker experience.

• Able-Bodied Seaman (AB) – 1 vacancy

4. Bulk Carrier

Requirement: Experience on Handysize, Kamsarmax, or Capesize vessels.

• Master – 1 vacancy
• 2nd Engineer – 2 vacancies
• 3rd Engineer – 1 vacancy
• Bosun – 1 vacancy
• Able-Bodied Seaman (AB) – 1 vacancy

Requirement: Previous VLGC Tanker experience.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Performing duties according to the assigned rank and department.
• Ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations.
• Carrying out navigation, engineering, maintenance, cargo, or catering duties as applicable.
• Following company procedures and international maritime safety regulations.
• Maintaining professional standards and effective teamwork onboard.
• Complying with vessel-specific operational and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the same rank and on the same vessel type is mandatory.
• Bulk Carrier applicants must have experience on Handysize, Kamsarmax, or Capesize vessels, as applicable.
• VLGC applicants must have previous fully refrigerated LPG tanker experience.
• Fully Pressurized LPG applicants must have experience on fully pressurized LPG tankers.
• LNG applicants must have previous LNG tanker experience.
• Car Carrier applicants must have previous Car Carrier experience.
• Oil/Chemical Tanker applicants must have relevant tanker experience.
• Valid STCW certificates and rank-specific Certificate of Competency (CoC), where applicable.
• Valid seafarer documents and medical fitness certificates.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an international crew.
