Job Description
OSM Thome is currently recruiting qualified and experienced seafarers for deployment onboard Handysize Bulk Carrier vessels operating worldwide.
The company is seeking deck officers, engineers, electro-technical personnel, deck ratings, engine ratings, and catering crew to support safe and efficient vessel operations in accordance with international maritime regulations and company safety standards.

Catering Department
Job Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:
- Perform duties according to assigned rank and company procedures.
- Support safe navigation and bulk cargo operations.
- Conduct navigational watchkeeping and deck operations.
- Assist with cargo loading, discharge, and cargo care.
- Operate and maintain propulsion, auxiliary, electrical, and deck equipment.
- Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, and technical repairs.
- Support mooring, anchoring, and general vessel operations.
- Maintain engine-room, deck, and accommodation areas.
- Prepare and serve meals and support catering operations where applicable.
- Participate in emergency drills, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM Code, and company HSE procedures.
- Maintain operational readiness and effective teamwork onboard.
Requirements
General Requirements
- Previous experience in the same rank onboard Bulk Carrier vessels preferred.
- Valid STCW 2010 certification relevant to the applied position.
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) for officer and engineer positions.
- Valid Certificate of Proficiency (COP) where applicable.
- Valid passport, seaman's book, and medical certificate.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities.
- Professional attitude and commitment to maritime operations.
- Physically and medically fit for sea service.
Position-Specific Requirements
- Master / Deck Officers: Valid Deck Officer CoC and relevant Bulk Carrier experience.
- Engine Officers: Valid Engineer CoC and relevant engine experience.
- ETO / Electrician: Relevant electro-technical qualifications and vessel experience.
- AB / OS: Valid deck rating COP and required STCW certificates.
- Fitter / Motorman / Wiper: Relevant engine-room qualifications and experience.
- Chief Cook / Messman: Relevant shipboard catering experience and food hygiene certification where applicable.
