Virjen Shipping Corporation is currently accepting applications from qualified and experienced seafarers for its Bulk Carrier, Tanker, and Domestic fleet.

Embarkation opportunities are available from August through November 2026. The company is recruiting officers, engineers, electrical personnel, deck ratings, engine ratings, and catering crew.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform duties according to the assigned rank and vessel type
• Support safe navigation, cargo operations, engine room operations, and vessel maintenance
• Operate and maintain machinery, electrical systems, cargo equipment, and deck equipment as applicable
• Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Comply with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM Code, and company safety procedures
• Participate in emergency drills, safety meetings, and onboard training
• Maintain operational readiness and high standards of teamwork and discipline

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in the position applied for
• Previous experience on Bulk Carriers, Tankers, or Domestic vessels as applicable
• Valid STCW certification package
• Valid Certificate of Competency / relevant license for officer and engineer positions
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Valid Passport and Seaman’s Book
• Good English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities
• All certificates and documents must be valid and up to date

Mandatory Requirement for Engineering Positions:

• All Engineers must have proven experience working with ME (MAN Energy Solutions / Main Engine) engines

Position-Specific Requirements:

Master / Chief Officer / 2nd Officer / 3rd Officer
• Valid CoC appropriate to the rank
• Relevant deck and cargo experience

Chief Engineer / 2nd Engineer / 3rd Engineer / 4th Engineer
• Valid engineering CoC appropriate to the rank
• Previous ME engine experience is mandatory

Gas Engineer
• Relevant gas carrier / tanker engineering experience
• Appropriate gas tanker qualifications and certificates

ETR / ETO
• Valid ETO / ETR qualification
• Previous marine electrical and automation experience preferred

Bosun / AB / OS
• Valid deck rating certification as applicable
• Relevant deck maintenance and cargo-operation experience

Oiler / Wiper / Fitter
• Relevant engine-room or mechanical experience
• Appropriate technical/STCW certification where required

Chief Cook / Messman
• Previous vessel catering experience preferred
• Relevant food hygiene and catering certification where applicable
