Job Description

PACC Shipping Phils., Inc. is seeking qualified and experienced seafarers to join its growing fleet of merchant vessels.

Applications are invited from maritime professionals across deck, engine and technical departments. Candidates must have a minimum of 24 months of onboard experience in the same rank and on the same type of vessel for which they are applying.

Successful candidates should possess the appropriate qualifications, valid maritime certificates and practical experience relevant to their position.

Key Responsibilities

Deck Officers

• Conduct navigational watchkeeping and support safe vessel operations.
• Supervise deck activities, cargo operations and onboard safety procedures according to rank.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and international maritime regulations.

Engine Officers and Electrical Engineers

• Operate, inspect and maintain propulsion machinery, auxiliary systems and electrical equipment.
• Carry out planned maintenance, troubleshooting and technical repairs.
• Monitor equipment performance and maintain accurate technical records.

Pumpman

• Operate and maintain cargo pumps and associated equipment.
• Assist with cargo loading and discharging operations.
• Follow cargo-handling procedures and tanker safety requirements.

Able Seamen and Ordinary Seamen

• Perform routine deck maintenance and housekeeping.
• Assist with mooring, anchoring and cargo operations as assigned.
• Follow onboard safety procedures and participate in emergency drills.

Motorman

• Assist with engine-room operations and machinery maintenance.
• Carry out routine inspections, lubrication and housekeeping duties.
• Report machinery defects and abnormal operating conditions.

Fitter

• Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs and fitting work.
• Assist with machinery inspections and troubleshooting.
• Maintain tools and workshop areas in safe working condition.

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of onboard experience in the same rank and on the same vessel type as the position applied for.
• Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC), Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) or relevant professional qualifications, as applicable.
• Valid STCW certificates appropriate to the position.
• Valid seafarer’s medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport, seaman’s book and other required travel documents.
• Relevant technical knowledge and practical experience for the applied rank.
• Good command of English and effective communication skills.
• Ability to comply with onboard safety procedures and international maritime regulations.
