Job Description
PT. Goldi Lancar Samudra is currently recruiting experienced seafarers to join a Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) vessel.
The company is looking for qualified deck and engine ratings with relevant vessel experience, valid seaman documents, and the ability to work effectively in a mixed-nationality crew.
Open Positions
Engine Department
- No. 1 Oiler (1/E Rating) — USD 2,100/month
- Oiler — USD 1,606/month
Deck Department
- Able Seaman (AB) — USD 1,606/month
- Bosun (BSN) — USD 2,100/month
Catering Department
- Chief Cook (CCK) — USD 2,100/month
Note: Korean vessel experience is required for the Chief Cook position.
Job Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:
- Perform duties according to assigned rank and company procedures.
- Support safe and efficient VLGC vessel operations.
- Carry out deck, engine room, maintenance, or catering duties as applicable.
- Maintain assigned equipment and operational areas.
- Follow vessel safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
- Participate in emergency drills and onboard safety activities.
- Work effectively within a mixed-nationality crew.
- Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness.
Requirements
- Valid seaman documents and certificates.
- Valid STCW certificates as required for the position.
- Relevant experience on similar vessel types.
- Good English communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a mixed-nationality crew.
- Valid medical certificate.
- Valid passport and seaman's book.
- Position-specific certificates as required.
- Chief Cook: Previous Korean vessel experience required.
