Job Description
Benteng Marines is recruiting qualified and experienced crew members to join Bulk & General Cargo Vessels, with joining scheduled in Singapore on 27 September 2026.
Candidates are required to have previous experience in the same rank and hold valid maritime documents and certificates, including a valid Liberian Endorsement.

Deck Department
- Able Seaman (A/B) — 3 positions — USD 1,650/month
- Bosun — 1 position — USD 2,262/month
- Ordinary Seaman (O/S) — 1 position — USD 1,150/month
Engine Department
- Oiler — 3 positions — USD 1,650/month
- Fitter — 1 position — Salary TBC
Catering Department
- Messman — 1 position — USD 1,200/month
- Cook — 1 position — USD 2,262/month
Job Responsibilities
As per company policy, main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Perform assigned duties according to rank and vessel procedures
- Support safe and efficient vessel operations
- Carry out deck, engine room, maintenance, and catering duties as applicable
- Participate in mooring, anchoring, maintenance, cleaning, and cargo-related activities as required
- Maintain vessel equipment, work areas, accommodation, and operational readiness
- Assist with inspections, drills, and emergency procedures
- Follow onboard HSE, safety, environmental, and operational procedures
- Work effectively as part of the vessel’s crew
Requirements
General Requirements
- Previous experience in the same rank
- Valid Liberian Endorsement
- Valid maritime certificates and documents relevant to the position
- Valid passport, Seaman’s Book, and Medical Fitness Certificate
- Good communication skills
- Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural crew
- Ready to join in Singapore on 27 September 2026
Position-Specific Requirements
Able Seaman (A/B)
- Previous AB experience in the same rank
- Relevant deck and maintenance experience
Bosun
- Previous Bosun experience
- Proven experience supervising deck ratings and deck operations
Ordinary Seaman (O/S)
- Previous OS experience preferred
- Ability to support routine deck operations and maintenance
Oiler
- Previous Oiler experience in the same rank
- Relevant engine room maintenance and machinery experience
Fitter
- Previous Fitter experience
- Relevant mechanical maintenance and repair skills
- Salary to be confirmed
Messman
- Previous Messman experience
- Relevant catering, housekeeping, and mess service experience
Cook
- Previous Cook experience
- Relevant onboard catering and food preparation experience
