Job Description:
Jebsen-PTC Maritime, Inc. is currently recruiting qualified seafarers for Container Carrier Vessels. The company is seeking experienced officers and ratings to join its container fleet. Successful candidates will work onboard modern container ships operating on international trade routes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
Open Positions:
- Master
- Chief Officer
- Bosun (Fitter / 3rd Engineer / 4th Engineer / Ship's Mechanic (SMW NC2) experience may also be considered for Bosun position as per company requirements)
- Oiler
- Able Seaman (AB)
- Ordinary Seaman (OS) (with Container Vessel experience)
- Wiper (Valid U.S. Visa and Container Vessel experience required)
- Chief Cook (Experience in Indian & European cuisine required)
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Ensure the safe navigation and efficient operation of the vessel.
- Carry out cargo operations in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance of deck, engine, and cargo equipment.
- Maintain compliance with ISM Code, STCW Convention, and company HSE policies.
- Work effectively as part of a multicultural crew to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
Requirements:
- Previous Container Carrier experience is preferred.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) for officer positions.
- Medical Fitness Certificate.
- Good English communication skills.
- Wiper: Valid U.S. Visa and previous container vessel experience are mandatory.
- Chief Cook: Experience preparing Indian and European cuisine is required.
- Candidates must be available for immediate deployment.
