Job Description:

Scanmar Maritime Services, Inc. is currently recruiting experienced maritime professionals to join Bulk Carrier vessels.

The company is seeking qualified personnel for positions across the Deck, Engine, Electrical, and Catering Departments. Candidates should have relevant experience in their respective positions and hold valid maritime certificates and documents required for service onboard.

Available Positions:

Deck Department:

• Chief Mate / Chief Officer
• 2nd Mate / 2nd Officer
• 3rd Mate / 3rd Officer
• Ordinary Seaman (OS)

Engine Department:

• Chief Engineer
• 2nd Engineer
• 3rd Engineer
• 4th Engineer
• Fitter
• Wiper

Electrical Department:

• Electro-Technical Officer (ETO)
• Electro-Technical Rating (ETR)

Catering Department:

• Chief Cook

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform all duties associated with the assigned rank safely and efficiently onboard the Bulk Carrier.
• Support navigation, cargo operations, deck activities, engine-room operations, electrical maintenance, and catering duties as applicable.
• Follow company procedures, vessel safety management systems, and applicable maritime regulations.
• Participate in safety drills, emergency response procedures, inspections, watchkeeping, and routine maintenance.
• Maintain professional standards, good housekeeping, and safe working conditions onboard.

Requirements:

• Valid STCW certificates applicable to the position.
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Valid Seaman’s Book.
• Valid professional certificates and licenses required for the assigned rank.
• Relevant experience in the same position.
• Previous Bulk Carrier experience is preferred.
• Valid ETO/ETR certification for electrical positions, where applicable.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Candidates must meet all applicable company and vessel requirements.
