Job Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:
- Perform duties according to the assigned rank and company procedures.
- Support safe Chemical Tanker navigation, cargo handling, and vessel operations.
- Conduct bridge, engine-room, deck, electrical, or cargo watchkeeping as applicable.
- Operate and maintain propulsion, auxiliary, electrical, cargo, deck, and safety equipment.
- Support chemical cargo loading, discharge, tank cleaning, and cargo-care operations.
- Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Maintain vessel equipment and operational readiness.
- Support galley, catering, accommodation, and housekeeping operations where applicable.
- Participate in emergency drills, toolbox talks, and onboard safety activities.
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM Code, chemical tanker regulations, and company HSE procedures.
- Maintain effective teamwork within a multinational crew environment.
Requirements
General Requirements
- Previous experience in the relevant position.
- Previous Chemical Tanker experience is preferred and may be required depending on rank.
- Valid STCW 2010 certification relevant to the applied position.
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) / Certificate of Proficiency (COP) where applicable.
- Valid tanker-specific training certificates as required for the position.
- Valid Passport, Seaman's Book, and Medical Certificate.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities.
- Professional attitude and commitment to safe tanker operations.
- Physically and medically fit for sea service.
Position-Specific Requirements
Master / Chief Officer / Deck Officers
- Valid Deck Officer CoC appropriate to the rank.
- Relevant Chemical Tanker experience.
- Valid tanker cargo-operation certificates as required.
Chief Engineer / 2nd Engineer / 3rd Engineer / 4th Engineer
- Valid Engineer CoC appropriate to the rank.
- Relevant tanker engine-room experience.
ETO / Electrician
- Relevant electro-technical qualifications.
- Experience with marine electrical, automation, and control systems.
Pumpman
- Previous tanker cargo and pump-system experience.
- Knowledge of cargo pumping and tank operations.
AB / OS / Bosun
- Valid deck rating certification.
- Relevant tanker deck experience preferred.
Oiler / Motorman / Fitter / Welder / Wiper
- Relevant engine-room or technical qualification.
- Previous vessel maintenance experience preferred.
Catering Crew
- Previous shipboard catering experience.
- Food hygiene certification where applicable.
Cadets
- Valid cadet documentation and required STCW certification.
- Relevant sea-training requirements for the assigned department.
