Job Description:
An established shipping company is recruiting 9 experienced Fitters to join Bulk Carrier vessels. The successful candidates will support the engine department with mechanical maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and general upkeep of onboard machinery and equipment, ensuring safe and reliable vessel operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Carry out mechanical maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
Assist the engineering department with planned and corrective maintenance.
Perform fitting, fabrication, and welding work as required.
Inspect machinery and report defects or abnormal conditions.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Relevant Fitter certification and documentation
Previous experience onboard Bulk Carriers or similar vessels preferred
Practical experience in mechanical maintenance, fitting, and repair
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
Ability to work effectively as part of a multicultural crew
