Job Description:
An established tanker operator is recruiting an experienced Fitter to join an Oil Tanker vessel in August 2026. The position involves supporting the vessel's engine and machinery maintenance operations, carrying out repairs, and ensuring that mechanical equipment remains in safe and efficient working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Carry out maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
Assist the engineering department with planned and corrective maintenance.
Inspect machinery, tools, and equipment and report defects.
Perform fabrication, welding, and mechanical repair work as required.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment in accordance with onboard HSE procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Previous experience as a Fitter onboard Oil Tankers or similar vessels
Relevant fitter certification and technical qualifications
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
Ability to work safely in a multicultural shipboard environment
