Job Description:
An established shipping company is recruiting 2 experienced Fitters to join Chemical Tanker vessels in August 2026. The Fitter will support the engineering department with mechanical maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and upkeep of machinery and equipment to ensure safe and reliable vessel operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Carry out mechanical maintenance and repair work on machinery and equipment.
Assist engineering officers with planned and corrective maintenance.
Perform fabrication, welding, and fitting work as required.
Inspect equipment and report defects or abnormal conditions.
Maintain a clean and safe engine-room working environment.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Relevant Fitter certification and documentation
Previous experience onboard Chemical Tankers or similar vessels preferred
Experience with mechanical maintenance and repair work
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
Ability to follow strict onboard safety and environmental procedures
