Job Description

Winning Logistic is seeking an experienced Fitter to join a tanker vessel with a gross tonnage exceeding 12,000.

The successful candidate will support the engineering department with mechanical maintenance, equipment inspections, repairs and troubleshooting to ensure the reliable operation of onboard machinery. Previous experience in the same rank on tanker vessels is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs and fitting work.
• Inspect and maintain machinery and mechanical components.
• Assist engineers with planned maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support the repair and maintenance of pumps, valves and other equipment.
• Maintain tools and workshop areas in a safe and orderly condition.
• Follow onboard safety procedures and report equipment defects.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Fitter onboard tanker vessels.
• Experience on tanker vessels exceeding 12,000 GRT, as specified by the employer.
• Valid certificates in accordance with STCW 2010.
• Valid BST MSC 560 certificate, as specified in the recruitment announcement.
• All documents and certificates must remain valid for a minimum of 18 months.
• Familiarity with SIRE inspections.
• Relevant mechanical maintenance and repair experience.
• Good command of English and effective communication skills.
• Valid passport, seaman’s book and medical fitness certificate, as applicable.
• Ability to comply with onboard technical and safety procedures.
