Fitter for Ro-Ro / General Cargo Vessels

Job Description:

PTC is seeking a qualified Fitter to join a Ro-Ro / General Cargo Vessels. The successful candidate will assist the engineering department with mechanical maintenance, repairs, and the upkeep of vessel machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Assist with fabrication and metalwork as required.
• Inspect equipment and report defects to engineering officers.
• Support preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop and working environment.

Requirements:

• Relevant mechanical trade qualifications or experience as a shipboard Fitter.
• Previous experience in a similar position, preferably on cargo vessels.
• Valid STCW certificates as required for the position.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
