Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Non-EU Fitter to join the LPG Tanker “Sombeke.” The vessel is registered under the Marshall Islands flag, with a DWT of 29,213 and GT of 25,994. The successful candidate will support the engine department with mechanical maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and general technical duties onboard.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on vessel machinery and equipment.
Assist engineers with troubleshooting and planned maintenance activities.
Carry out fitting, fabrication, welding, and repair work as required.
Inspect and maintain tools, machinery, and workshop equipment.
Follow onboard safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Fitter onboard
Experience on LPG Tankers preferred/required
Non-EU candidates accepted
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Relevant seafarer's documents
Ability to work safely in an engine room and workshop environment
