Fitter for LPG Tanker Vessel

Job Description

Jebsen PTC Maritime Incorporated is seeking a skilled Fitter to perform mechanical maintenance and repair work onboard an LPG tanker. The successful candidate will support the engine department in maintaining machinery and equipment in safe working condition.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Assist with dismantling, fitting, and reassembling mechanical components.
• Inspect equipment and report defects or excessive wear.
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good condition.
• Follow onboard safety procedures and applicable maintenance requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as a marine Fitter or in a similar mechanical role.
• Valid STCW certificates as required for the position.
• Valid seafarer medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and Seaman’s Book.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Welding or fabrication skills are an advantage where relevant.
• LPG tanker experience and any required vessel-specific training are subject to company and flag requirements.
