Job Description
Aqualink Maritime, Inc. is urgently seeking an experienced Fitter to join a Container Vessel operating in the Far East Asia Trade. This opportunity is available for deployment in July 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out fabrication, welding, structural repairs, and maintenance of shipboard equipment to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform welding, steel fabrication, and structural repair work onboard.
Maintain and repair piping systems, machinery, and ship structures.
Assist the engine department during maintenance and repair operations.
Ensure workshop equipment and tools are maintained in good condition.
Follow company safety procedures and maintenance schedules.
Requirements
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Minimum 12 months of experience as a Fitter on a Container Vessel or similar merchant vessel
Valid passport and seaman's book
