Job Description:
Elwin Crew Management Inc. is recruiting a qualified Fitter to join a Container Vessel. The Fitter will support the engineering department with mechanical maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and general upkeep of vessel machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Carry out mechanical maintenance and repair work on vessel machinery and equipment.
Assist engineering officers with inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Perform fitting, fabrication, and welding work as required.
Maintain tools, machinery, and working areas in safe and operational condition.
Follow onboard safety procedures and company maintenance standards
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates, as applicable.
Relevant Fitter qualification and experience.
Valid medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Previous experience as a Fitter onboard a Container Vessel or similar vessel preferred.
Valid seafarer documentation.
