Fitter for Product MR Chemical Tanker Vessel

Job Description

An established maritime employer is hiring an experienced Fitter to join Chemical / Product MR Tankers for the September/October 2026 deployment.

The Fitter will support the engineering department with mechanical maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and fabrication work to ensure the safe and reliable operation of vessel machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs on vessel machinery.
• Perform fitting, fabrication, and welding work as required.
• Assist with planned and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical defects and equipment failures.
• Follow onboard maintenance, safety, and HSE procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Fitter
• Chemical / Product MR Tanker experience is advantageous
• Relevant mechanical maintenance experience
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Valid passport and seafarer's documentation
• Good English communication skills
• Availability for September/October 2026 deployment
