Deck Fitter for Merchant Vessel

Job Description:
PT Acak Samudera Indonesia is recruiting an experienced Deck Fitter to join professional and multicultural crews operating on international vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for deck maintenance, repair, fabrication, and related technical duties onboard.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Carry out maintenance, repair, and fabrication work on deck equipment and structures.
Assist with welding, fitting, and mechanical maintenance tasks as required.
Inspect and maintain deck machinery, tools, and associated equipment.
Follow all onboard safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working area.
Support the deck department and other crew members with technical tasks as required.

Requirements:
Valid Seaman's Book.
Valid STCW Basic Safety Training certificates.
Valid Medical Certificate.
Relevant experience as a Deck Fitter.
Good English communication skills.
Good physical fitness and ability to perform practical maintenance work onboard.
Candidates ready to join immediately are preferred.

Employment Details:

Vessel Type: International Vessels / Merchant Fleet
Contract Duration: 9 months
Short-Term Contract: 1–2 months available during summer for candidates holding a Schengen Visa or EU nationality
Salary: USD 2,500 per month
Overtime: USD 7.47 per hour for overtime exceeding 103 hours per month
