Job Description:
KJCM Maritime Corporation is urgently recruiting an experienced Deck Fitter to join a Capesize Bulk Carrier on an ASAP basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out deck maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and fitting work onboard. Candidates must hold the required II/4 and III/5 qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform mechanical fitting, repair, and maintenance work on deck equipment.
Carry out welding, fabrication, cutting, and general repair tasks as required.
Assist with maintenance of deck machinery and related equipment.
Support the deck department during planned maintenance and repairs.
Maintain tools and equipment and comply with onboard safety procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Deck Fitter / Fitter
Previous Bulk Carrier / Capesize experience preferred
Valid STCW II/4 and III/5 certification
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Valid seafarer's documents
Good English communication skills
Relevant fitting, welding, and fabrication experience
Availability to join ASAP
