Job Description:
Vessel Type: Container Vessel
A reputable international shipping company is recruiting an experienced Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) to join its fleet of Container Vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all electrical, electronic, and automation systems onboard while ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Maintain and repair electrical, electronic, and automation equipment onboard.
Troubleshoot electrical faults affecting propulsion, navigation, cargo handling, and auxiliary systems.
Carry out preventive maintenance according to the planned maintenance system.
Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and international maritime regulations.
Maintain maintenance records and spare parts inventory.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) Certificate of Competency
Previous experience as an ETO on container vessels or similar cargo vessels
Strong knowledge of marine electrical and automation systems
