Job Description:
Laurel Carriers is recruiting an experienced Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) to join a Bulk Handysize vessel with deployment scheduled for mid-August. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all electrical, electronic, automation, and communication systems onboard while ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Maintain and repair electrical and electronic equipment onboard.
Monitor automation, navigation, and communication systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
Keep accurate maintenance records and report technical issues.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid Electro-Technical Officer Certificate of Competency (ETO CoC)
Previous experience as an ETO on Bulk Carrier or similar merchant vessel preferred
Strong knowledge of marine electrical and automation systems
