Job Description

Columbia Shipmanagement Indonesia is recruiting an experienced Electro-Technical Rating (ETR) to join a Bulk Carrier vessel.

The successful candidate will assist the electrical and technical team with the inspection, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and systems onboard, ensuring safe and reliable vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
• Carry out routine inspections of electrical systems and installations.
• Support electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with maintenance of lighting, motors, switchboards and other electrical equipment.
• Report technical defects and equipment abnormalities.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous sea-going experience as an Electro-Technical Rating or in a similar electrical position.
• Bulk Carrier experience is preferred.
• Relevant electro-technical qualifications and certificates.
• Valid STCW certificates appropriate to the position.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and seafarer documents.
• Practical knowledge of electrical maintenance and safe working procedures.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multinational crew.
