Job Description:

Global Gateway Crewing Services Inc. is looking for a qualified Electrician / Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) to join a Bulk Carrier vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and safe operation of the vessel's electrical and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot vessel electrical and electronic systems.
  • Carry out inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Assist with the maintenance of generators, motors, switchboards, and electrical equipment.
  • Respond to electrical faults and breakdowns.
  • Ensure electrical work is performed in accordance with onboard safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Valid STCW certificates.
  • Valid ETO/appropriate electro-technical certification.
  • Medical fitness certificate.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
  • Previous experience as an Electrician/ETO on merchant vessels is preferred.
  • Bulk Carrier experience is an advantage.
