Chief Officer for Tanker Vessel

Job Description

Westminster Seafarer Management Philippines, Inc. is seeking a qualified Chief Officer to supervise deck operations, support cargo handling, and assist the Master in maintaining safe vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Supervising deck crew and coordinating deck maintenance.
• Planning and monitoring cargo loading, discharging, and related documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with tanker safety and pollution-prevention procedures.
• Conducting safety inspections, drills, and risk assessments.
• Assisting the Master with navigation, administration, and vessel management.

Requirements

• Valid Chief Officer’s Certificate of Competency appropriate to the vessel and flag.
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness certificate.
• Relevant experience on tanker vessels.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Valid passport and Seaman’s Book.
• Tanker-specific qualifications and endorsements as required by the employer.
