Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Chief Officer to join a newbuild LPG carrier under the French flag. The vessel is equipped with a dual-fuel main engine and has a gross tonnage of 26,600 and DWT of 31,000.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising deck operations, cargo operations, safety procedures, and the deck department in accordance with international regulations and company standards. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in the rank of Chief Officer, hold a valid U.S. visa and EU passport, and be available to join at the beginning of September 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Supervise all deck and cargo operations onboard the LPG carrier.
Ensure safe cargo handling and compliance with LPG tanker procedures.
Manage and coordinate the deck department and onboard maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, STCW, and company safety procedures.
Conduct safety inspections, drills, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness activities.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience as Chief Officer
Previous LPG / gas tanker experience required
Valid STCW certificates
Valid Medical Certificate
Good command of English
Valid U.S. Visa
Valid EU Passport
Relevant seafarer's documents
Experience on modern/newbuild vessels is an advantage
