Chief Officer for General Cargo Vessel

Job Description:

PACC Shipping Phils., Inc. is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Chief Officer aboard a General Cargo Vessel.

The successful candidate will assist the Master in managing deck operations, maintaining navigational safety, supervising deck crew, and ensuring that cargo operations are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and applicable maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist the Master with vessel operations, navigation, and safe passage planning.
• Supervise cargo loading, discharging, stowage, and securing operations.
• Manage deck crew duties, maintenance activities, and onboard safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable maritime regulations and company safety management requirements.
• Maintain deck records, inspect equipment, and support emergency preparedness.

Requirements:

• Valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency (CoC).
• Relevant experience as Chief Officer on general cargo vessels.
• Valid STCW certificates required for the position.
• Valid seafarer's medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and Seaman's Book.
• Good English communication skills.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and safety management skills.
