Chief Officer for Container Carrier Vessel

Job Description

Navilands Marine Inc. is urgently recruiting an experienced Chief Officer for its Container Carrier Vessel fleet, with 10 vessels undergoing takeover.

The Chief Officer will be responsible for supporting the Master in the safe operation of the vessel, supervising deck operations, cargo handling, maintenance, and the deck crew.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Supervise deck operations, cargo handling, and maintenance activities.
• Assist the Master with safe navigation and vessel operations.
• Oversee container cargo operations and deck safety.
• Supervise deck crew and ensure proper execution of assigned duties.
• Maintain compliance with company HSE and maritime procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency
• Valid STCW certificates relevant to rank
• Relevant Container Carrier Vessel experience
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Valid seafarer documents and certificates
• Valid US Visa preferred
• Good English communication skills
