Job Description:
PT. Veratama Global is recruiting an experienced Chief Officer to join a Bulk Carrier vessel in mid-August 2026. The successful candidate must have proven experience in the same rank and on the same vessel type, with foreign-going service and experience working with a mixed-nationality crew.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Supervise the deck department and coordinate daily deck operations.
Oversee cargo handling, ballast, and stability operations.
Ensure safe navigation and compliance with onboard procedures.
Supervise deck maintenance and safety activities.
Support the Master in the overall safe operation of the vessel.
Requirements:
Valid Chief Officer Certificate of Competency
All required documents available and not held by another agency
Documents valid for a minimum of 18 months
Good command of English
Good professional knowledge and attitude
Proven experience in the same rank and on Bulk Carrier vessels
Previous foreign-going vessel experience
Experience working with mixed-nationality crews
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
