Job Description:
Vessel Type: Handy Bulk Carrier
A leading shipping company is recruiting experienced Chief Mates for its fleet of Handy Bulk Carriers. Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist the Master in the safe navigation and overall management of the vessel.
Supervise cargo loading, discharging, stowage, and ballast operations.
Oversee deck crew, maintenance activities, and safety procedures.
Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies.
Maintain deck equipment, cargo gear, and navigational documentation.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid Chief Mate Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Previous experience as Chief Mate on Handy Bulk Carriers or similar bulk vessels
Strong leadership and cargo operation management skills
