Job Description:
A leading international shipping company is urgently recruiting an experienced Chief Engineer to join a CONRO (Container/Ro-Ro Cargo Vessel) trading worldwide. The successful candidate will join on 20 August for a contract of 3 ± 1 months. This position is suitable for experienced Chief Engineers with proven expertise on vessels equipped with 4-stroke engines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the safe and efficient operation of the engine department and all machinery onboard.
- Supervise maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of main engines, auxiliary machinery, and shipboard systems.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and Class requirements.
- Plan and oversee preventive maintenance programs.
- Lead the engine room team and ensure safe working practices at all times.
- Maintain accurate engine room records and coordinate with shore management regarding technical matters.
Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC).
- Minimum 24 months of onboard experience as Chief Engineer.
- Mandatory experience with 4-stroke main engines.
- Valid CoC Endorsement.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Seafarer's Medical Certificate.
- Valid Passport.
- Seaman's Book with documented sea service.
- References from previous employers.
- Updated CV with detailed sea service history.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Good English communication skills.
