Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Chief Engineer (CE) for a Cement Carrier vessel. The vessel operates in [insert region or area], transporting cement cargo. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the vessel’s engine room and machinery. Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of all engine room machinery, including the main engine, auxiliary engines, and power generation systems.
• Ensuring the vessel’s engine room and all machinery are operating safely and efficiently.
• Managing the engine department team, assigning tasks, and ensuring high standards of performance.
• Performing regular inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of machinery and systems.
• Preparing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the vessel’s technical readiness.
• Ensuring compliance with maritime safety regulations and environmental standards, including fuel management, emissions control, and waste disposal.
• Monitoring fuel consumption and managing energy efficiency.
• Maintaining the engine room log and ensuring all records are up to date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication

• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience as a Chief Engineer on similar vessel types (Cement Carrier preferred)
