Job Description

Spectrum Marine and Ship Management Inc. is recruiting a Chief Engineer for tanker vessels. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation, maintenance, and management of the vessel’s main propulsion, auxiliary machinery, and engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising the engine department and engineering crew.
  • Ensuring safe operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery.
  • Managing planned and corrective maintenance.
  • Monitoring fuel, lubricants, spare parts, and technical stores.
  • Ensuring compliance with company, flag-state, and international requirements.

Requirements

  • Valid Chief Engineer CoC appropriate for the vessel.
  • Valid STCW certificates.
  • Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
  • Relevant tanker engineering experience.
  • VLCC, Aframax, or Suezmax experience is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
