Job Description

Winning Logistic is recruiting an experienced Bosun to join a tanker vessel with a gross tonnage exceeding 12,000.

The Bosun will supervise deck ratings, coordinate routine deck activities and assist with mooring, maintenance and cargo-related operations. Candidates must have previous experience in the same rank onboard tanker vessels and be familiar with SIRE inspection requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the work of deck ratings.
• Assist with mooring, anchoring and other deck operations.
• Carry out deck equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
• Support safe cargo-related operations under the direction of deck officers.
• Maintain deck cleanliness and ensure safe working conditions.
• Follow onboard safety procedures and participate in emergency drills.
• Report defects, hazards and maintenance requirements to the responsible officers.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Bosun onboard tanker vessels.
• Experience on tanker vessels exceeding 12,000 GRT, as specified by the employer.
• Valid certificates in accordance with STCW 2010.
• Valid BST MSC 560 certificate, as specified in the recruitment announcement.
• All documents and certificates must remain valid for a minimum of 18 months.
• Familiarity with SIRE inspections.
• Practical knowledge of deck maintenance, mooring operations and tanker safety.
• Good command of English and effective communication skills.
• Valid passport, seaman’s book and medical fitness certificate, as applicable.
