Job Description:
Seaspan is recruiting an experienced Bosun to join the Deck Department. Candidates with previous experience onboard Pure Car Carriers (PCC) or Ro-Ro Container Vessels are encouraged to apply. A valid US Visa is an advantage for early deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Supervising and assisting with routine deck operations.
- Coordinating deck crew during maintenance and operational activities.
- Assisting with mooring, anchoring, and cargo operations.
- Ensuring proper maintenance and housekeeping of deck areas.
- Supporting safe working practices and onboard safety procedures.
- Participating in drills and emergency response activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Bosun.
- Experience on Pure Car Carrier (PCC) or Ro-Ro Container Vessels.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
- Valid Seaman's Book and Passport.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Valid US Visa is an advantage for early deployment.
