Bosun for Ro-Ro / General Cargo Vessels

Job Description:

PTC is seeking an experienced Bosun to supervise and coordinate deck crew activities aboard a Ro-Ro / General Cargo Vessels. The successful candidate will support safe deck operations, maintenance, and cargo-related activities under the direction of the deck officers.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Supervise and coordinate the work of deck ratings.
• Assist with mooring, unmooring, anchoring, and other deck operations.
• Organize deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and equipment inspections.
• Support cargo operations and ensure safe handling of deck equipment.
• Follow onboard safety procedures and report maintenance issues.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Bosun or in a similar deck supervisory role.
• Relevant experience on cargo vessels preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Good leadership, teamwork, and safety awareness.
