Job Description:
Status Maritime Corp. is urgently hiring an experienced Bosun to join an Oil/Chemical Tanker. The successful candidate will supervise and participate in deck operations, including mooring, anchoring, maintenance, cargo support, and general deck activities. The position requires a strong understanding of safe deck operations and the ability to work effectively with the deck crew.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Supervise and coordinate the work of the deck crew.
Assist with mooring, anchoring, cargo, and other deck operations.
Organize and carry out deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and repairs.
Inspect and maintain deck equipment, tools, and lifting gear.
Ensure deck operations are conducted safely and in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Bosun
Relevant Oil/Chemical Tanker experience preferred
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Good command of English
Valid passport and seafarer documentation
Ability to join ASAP
