Job Description:
Vessel Type: Container Vessel
A reputable shipping company is seeking an experienced Bosun to join its Container Vessel fleet. The Bosun will supervise deck ratings, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure safe deck operations in accordance with company procedures and international maritime regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Supervise Able Seamen and Ordinary Seamen during daily deck operations.
Coordinate deck maintenance, painting, mooring, and cargo preparation.
Inspect and maintain deck machinery and equipment.
Assist officers during cargo, anchoring, and mooring operations.
Ensure compliance with vessel safety procedures and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Previous experience as Bosun on container vessels or similar cargo vessels
Strong leadership and deck maintenance skills
Valid seafarer's documents and certificates
