Job Description
KJCM Maritime Corporation is seeking an experienced Bosun to join a Supramax/Handy Bulk Carrier.
The Bosun will supervise and coordinate deck ratings, support cargo operations, and ensure that deck maintenance and daily operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of deck ratings.
- Assist with cargo operations, mooring, anchoring, and deck activities.
- Organize deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and preservation work.
- Ensure proper care and safe use of deck equipment and tools.
- Maintain good housekeeping and comply with onboard safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous Bosun experience
- Bulk carrier experience is an advantage
- Valid STCW certificates
- Valid medical fitness certificate
- Proficiency in English communication
- Valid passport and seaman’s book
