Job Description:
Our client is urgently seeking an experienced Bosun to join a Bulk Carrier Vessel operating on a tramping trade. The successful candidate will support the deck department and supervise routine deck operations, maintenance, and cargo-related activities in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Supervising and coordinating deck crew during daily operations.
- Assisting with cargo handling and securing operations.
- Carrying out deck maintenance, cleaning, and preservation work.
- Ensuring safe working practices during deck and cargo operations.
- Supporting the Chief Officer with routine deck department activities.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience as a Bosun on merchant vessels.
- Experience on Bulk Carrier Vessel is advantageous.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid medical fitness certificate.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Good knowledge of safe deck working practices.
