Job Description:
Grace Marine and Shipping Corporation is looking for an Ordinary Seaman (OS) to join a Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC). The successful candidate will assist the deck department with routine operations, maintenance, and general deck duties while following onboard safety procedures and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with general deck operations and maintenance.
- Supporting mooring and anchoring operations.
- Assisting senior deck officers and Able Seamen as required.
- Maintaining cleanliness and good housekeeping on deck.
- Handling deck equipment and tools safely.
- Participating in onboard safety drills and following company procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Ordinary Seaman (OS) is preferred.
- Experience onboard VLGC / gas carriers is an advantage.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
- Valid Seaman's Book and Passport.
- Proficiency in English communication.
