OS for Oil / Chemical Tanker Vessel

Job Description

Kestrel Shipping Inc. is seeking an experienced Ordinary Seaman (OS) to join an Oil/Chemical Tanker Vessel. The OS will support the deck department with mooring, maintenance, cleaning, cargo-related support, and general deck operations under the supervision of senior deck crew.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with mooring, anchoring, and deck operations.
• Performing routine deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and preservation.
• Supporting ABs, Bosun, and deck officers with assigned duties.
• Assisting with cargo operations and safety procedures.
• Maintaining good housekeeping and safe working practices.

Requirements

• Previous OS experience on tanker vessels preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates applicable to rank.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid seaman’s book and relevant seafarer documents.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Previous Oil/Chemical Tanker experience is an advantage.
