Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Able Seaman (AB II/4) to join a Malta-flagged Oil Tanker operating in Italian coastal waters. The successful candidate will support deck operations, cargo handling, maintenance, and navigational watchkeeping while ensuring compliance with tanker safety standards and company operating procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced deck ratings looking to build their careers aboard modern oil tankers.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform navigational watchkeeping duties under officer supervision.
Assist with loading, discharge, and cargo-related deck operations.
Carry out maintenance and inspections of deck equipment and safety gear.
Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of deck areas.
Follow all company safety procedures and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Medical Fitness Certificate.
National Seaman's Book.
Proficiency in English communication.
Certificate of Proficiency STCW II/4 Rating Forming Part of a Navigational Watch.
Proven experience as Able Seaman on oil tankers or similar vessels.
Knowledge of deck operations, tanker cargo handling, and navigational watchkeeping.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Good physical fitness for offshore deck duties.
