Job Description:
Sealanes Marine Services, Inc. is recruiting an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join a modern and expanding European fleet operated by a stable and reputable Irish shipping company.
The successful candidate will work onboard diverse cargo vessels and contribute to safe deck operations, cargo handling, maintenance, and general vessel activities. The company places a strong focus on crew welfare, connectivity, professional development, and long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist with deck operations, mooring, anchoring, and cargo handling activities.
Perform routine deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and preservation work.
Assist officers during vessel operations and watchkeeping duties.
Operate and maintain deck equipment and tools safely.
Follow onboard safety procedures and international maritime regulations.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid medical fitness certificate.
Proficiency in English communication.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience on General Cargo or Multipurpose vessels.
Preferably complete and valid travel and seafarer's documents.
Previous experience on European cargo vessels is an advantage.
Strong safety awareness and ability to work effectively as part of a multinational crew.
