Job Description:
A market-leading shipowner is seeking an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join a modern Container Vessel operating on European trade routes. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting safe navigation, cargo operations, mooring activities, and routine deck maintenance while working as part of an experienced multinational crew.
This position offers a stable rotational schedule with a reputable shipping company operating a modern container fleet. Due to the vessel's trading area, only candidates holding EU nationality or eligible to work within the European trading region will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform bridge watchkeeping and navigational support duties as assigned.
Assist with mooring, anchoring, cargo operations, and deck maintenance.
Operate and maintain deck equipment and mooring machinery.
Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of safety equipment.
Follow company procedures, ISM Code, and international maritime safety regulations.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
Proficiency in English communication
EU candidates only (required due to the vessel's trading area)
Previous experience as Able Seaman on Container Vessels is mandatory
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
Employment Details:
Joining Date: 05 September 2026
Contract Duration: 4 months on / 4 months off rotation
Salary: USD 3,500 per month
