Job Description:
SSM Maritime Services Inc. is urgently recruiting a qualified Able Seaman (AB) to join a Container Ship. The successful candidate will assist with deck operations, mooring, cargo handling, maintenance, and other duties necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist with mooring, anchoring, and cargo operations.
Perform routine deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and preservation.
Assist with the safe handling and maintenance of deck equipment.
Participate in onboard safety drills and emergency procedures.
Follow instructions from deck officers and comply with company safety standards.
Requirements:
Valid Able Seaman (AB) certification/COP
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Valid seafarer's documents and passport
Previous Container Ship experience preferred
Good command of English
Ability to work effectively as part of a multinational crew
Available for urgent joining
