Job Description:
Seaspan is looking for an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join the Deck Department. Candidates with previous experience onboard Pure Car Carriers (PCC) or Ro-Ro Container Vessels are preferred. A valid US Visa is an advantage for early deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Carrying out routine Able Seaman deck duties.
- Assisting with mooring, anchoring, and cargo operations.
- Performing deck maintenance and upkeep.
- Assisting with safe handling of deck equipment.
- Supporting cargo operations onboard PCC / Ro-Ro vessels.
- Participating in safety drills and following onboard safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Able Seaman (AB).
- Experience on Pure Car Carrier (PCC) or Ro-Ro Container Vessels.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
- Valid Seaman's Book and Passport.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Valid US Visa is an advantage for early deployment.
