AB for Oil / Chemical Tanker Vessel

Job Description:

Stella Marris Shipmanagement Inc. is seeking an experienced Able Seaman to join an Oil/Chemical Tanker. The successful candidate will assist with deck maintenance, mooring, anchoring, cargo-related activities, and assigned watchkeeping duties while observing tanker safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with mooring, anchoring, and deck operations.
• Carry out deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and preservation.
• Support cargo operations as instructed by senior officers.
• Operate deck equipment safely and stand assigned watches.
• Follow tanker safety procedures and participate in emergency drills.

Requirements:

• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid Able Seaman certification, where applicable.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid Seaman's Book and passport.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Previous experience as an Able Seaman on Oil/Chemical Tankers is preferred.
• Valid tanker familiarization and safety training as applicable.
